West Point Christian Preschool and the Coronavirus

Our number one goal and priority is the safety of our students and staff. To reduce the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) the CDC recommendation is to wear face mask, wash hands and continue to social distance. The MS Department of Health has not released or given us any reason to believe that we will be closed as a result of these recommendations.

We are doing all we can to create a best-case scenario so that we all move through this pandemic together. Keeping our heads about this and making strategic decisions to keep West Point Christian Preschool functioning and available for our students and parents is important. Keep in mind that things could change any day, just as what we know about this virus and federal/state mandates and guidelines are changing.

Our check-in/out with our Procare Connect app is contactless and temperature checks are being done at the door for our students and staff. Staff will escort students to their classrooms.

We will also adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Continue to practice good hygiene (hand washing, covering mouth when sneeze or cough with tissue)

  • Clean and disinfect common touch surfaces, toys, phones/computers, etc.

  • If child show any symptoms of illness while in school, the student will be isolated and the parent called to pick up student. If student is at home we ask the parents to please keep student home - symptoms include coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle aches, running nose, fever of 100.4°F or higher .

Please follow our social media streams and monitor them in case of required closures by MDHS.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Marneshia Cathey, Director
